ArtistsBlock is the personal art archive of Blake Evans, an illustrator and designer with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
The work
The archive follows years of character design, concept art, illustration, graphic design, and digital painting. The tools and techniques change across the work; the interest in people, storytelling, and shape stays recognizable.
This restoration does not pretend the portfolio was made yesterday. Dates, older software references, experiments, and unfinished work are part of its record.

The original torn-paper menu and handwritten identity remain the starting point. The old image slices, frames, Flash players, and server scripts do not. The result is a static site that works on a phone and gives the art room to breathe.
The original About page kept a list of earlier designs. That list deserves to survive too.
